Meghan Markle's dad wants to make a documentary about his life with his royal daughter and it will likely include "unseen videos" and never-before-seen photos of Prince Harry's wife.

Thomas Markle, who is now a retired lighting director for American TV shows, said that the documentary will feature a "complete picture" of how he lived his life and raised Meghan before everything changed in their relationship.

In an interview with The Sun, Thomas said that he wants the documentary to highlight his love for his family and theater, and how he started to work for Hollywood studios. He also wants to include Meghan's childhood, her life in college and her career on television, which led to her role in the hit series Suits.

Thomas said that his relationship with Meghan was good until she started a new chapter with Harry, the Duke of Sussex. The 76-year-old dad also wants the documentary to explore what happened to his youngest child and what went wrong between the two of them.

In 2020, Thomas was featured in the documentary produced by Channel 5 that already broke down his estrangement with Meghan. In this feature, titled Thomas Markle: My Story, the duchess' father said that he had a falling out with Meghan when he couldn't attend her wedding to the British royal following his heart surgery.

Thomas also revealed that he found out about his new grandson, Archie Harrison, in a radio report because his daughter was no longer talking to him and he has yet to see the baby in person. He accused Harry and Meghan of sharing "trashing things" about him to the press that further strained his relationship with his daughter.

The duchess' father also castigated Harry and Meghan for their decision to leave their royal roles. Thomas said that Meghan embarrassed and disappointed him for giving up her royal duties with her husband, the blood prince.

A poll conducted by Daily Express showed that 60 percent of royal fans would like Thomas to make the documentary. Meghan's dad hopes to finish the film before the year ends and believes that he "will do a good job" of this project.

It comes as Meghan could likely see her father in person in court once her trial against the Associated Newspapers, who owns the tabloid Mail on Sunday, begins. Thomas is one of the witnesses for the defense as he permitted the tabloid to publish his daughter's private letters to him. But insiders at the royal palaces want the Duchess of Sussex to drop the case instead as it will expose the royal family to further scrutiny.
