American Gods season 3 episode 3 is coming this weekend on Starz, with the title "Ashes and Demons." Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) is set to face new challenges from here. The investigation surrounding Alison's disappearance continues and there's no guarantee she'll be found soon.
In American Gods season 3 episode 3, Shadow has been dreaming of Bilquis (Yetide Badaki) while he continues searching for Alison's whereabouts. As seen in the promo, he called Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) and informed him that he wants to see the goddess of love.
Mr. Wednesday asked Shadow why he wanted to see Bilquis- - and if this is about his dream. It's unclear whether the former agreed to set up a meeting for the two. But, the preview ended with Shadow calling Bilquis' name, suggesting that they've come face-to-face.
Yet, based on what happened in episode 2, Bilquis might not be in good shape in this week's episode. After absorbing the tech CEO she's been sleeping with, something went wrong. She started vomiting and looked like she's in distress.
Shadow is completely a different version of himself, as well. He doesn't understand why everyone in Lakeside suddenly changed. They're welcoming and very kind to him when he arrived, but they suddenly treated him like a criminal now.
His identity has been one of the significant parts of the story from the beginning. But then, there are still a lot of questions regarding who he really is. Although Mr. Wednesday has been providing hints several times already, some parts of his life remain unexplored.
In terms of Allison's disappearance, everything may come to a bloody conclusion in American Gods season 3 episode 3. The clip featured most of the characters looking for this girl, who has been gone for more than 48 hours. There were a few clues that could lead them to her whereabouts.
Meanwhile, there is a personal storyline for Mr. Wednesday, as well. He's going to find out where his old love -- Greek goddess Demeter (Blythe Danner) -- is. He will attempt to resolve whatever happened between them in the past so he could free her.
Also, American Gods season 3 episode 3 sees Shadow Moon's wife, Laura (Emily Browning), trying to acknowledge reality. A lot of things are coming here, and some of the events bring unexpected connections -- just like what was shown in seasons 1 and 2.
