The Curse of Oak Island season 8 will release another episode this week and will continue to focus on the recently-discovered clues in the swamp. Brothers Rick and Marty Lagina have been trying to search for answers surrounding the mysterious island and find the Money Pit's location.
For the past episodes of The Curse of Oak Island season 8, the Laginas and their team investigated what lies beneath the swamp. They were able to find a stone structure, which was believed to be a roadway. They suspected that this path may have been directing them to the treasure all along.
The team thinks that the roadway structure might be one of the major clues they've discovered and it actually points them to where the Money Pit is. They tried to look for more clues to find out whether there is a certain link between the swamp, the sea, as well as the roadway.
It is believed that the seafarers used the paths when they unloaded the treasure on the island. To prove the connection between the three, Alex Lagina decided to dive into the swamp. However, he wasn't able to find additional clues due to poor visibility in the murky depths.
Despite failed attempts in locating the Money Pit, the fellowship is still determined to do more diggings in The Curse of Oak Island season 8. Apart from the discovery of the roadway, they also found a snake mound and they suspected that it belonged to the Knights Templar.
Furthermore, they tried to decipher the mysteries surrounding Erin Helton's Zena Halpern's ancient map. She told the team that they may have been digging in the wrong location of the valuable treasure. She presented coordinates that could lead them in finding a tunnel.
However, the fellowship didn't proceed with the excavation. Instead, they asked Erin to reassess their current situation. As The Curse of Oak Island season 8 continues, the Laginas and the team will look for more significant clues within the area.
During the early run of the latest season, they were able to find clues beyond the swamp. For instance, they unearthed an old coin that might belong to the Chinese who lived on the island many years ago. They also found an oxen trail which indicated that there had been heavy industrial activities in the area.
