A massive volcanic eruption is the biggest crisis in the upcoming 9-1-1: Lone Star season 2 episode 2. The latest installment has been dropping teasers on what lies ahead, with lava flowing in a pool party at the center of it. Everything goes intense when the responders try to rescue those in danger.

The title of 9-1-1: Lone Star season 2 episode 2 is "2100°," which has something to do with the temperature of the lava. As the synopsis notes, a volcanic eruption wreaks havoc in Austin, Texas. This promoted the members of Station 126 to race against time and save those at a college pool party.

At the end of the premiere episode, the lava can be seen approaching the city, leaving most people in danger. There is no guarantee that everyone will be rescued in 9-1-1: Lone Star season 2 episode 2, given that the crisis happened so suddenly and no one sees it coming.

Besides rescuing those at the party, the team also needs to save the family's mini-golf outing and a woman stuck in a food truck with a horde of scorpions. Many things will happen within this episode, and everyone at the station is divided in rescuing those who need their help.

Beyond the crisis, 9-1-1: Lone Star season 2 episode 2 will further explore T.K. Strand's (Ronen Rubinstein) storyline. Apart from receiving the news that his father, Owen (Rob Lowe), is now cancer-free, he officially entered a relationship with Carlos (Rafael L. Silva).

Their blossoming relationship will be further explored as the latest installment progresses. T.K. will meet Carlos' parents, and some parts of his past will be addressed. Yet, they're still going to face several obstacles and challenges along the way.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed during the season 4 opener that Liv Tyler is leaving her role, Michelle Blake, in the series. The character, who wasn't seen during the first episode, was no longer part of the team. The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the major reasons why the actress departed from the show.

Since Tyler is based in the UK, it was difficult for her to frequently travel between there and in the United States. In an interview with Deadline, co-creator Tim Minear noted that despite the actress' exit, he made it clear that they're still open for her return when things get back to normal.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 2 episode 2 airs on Monday, Jan. 25, on Fox.
