Demon Slayer had stunned everyone when it dropped its first season, followed by a box-office hit movie, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. As fans want to see more of Tanjiro Kamado and his epic adventure, they are all hoping for Demon Slayer Season 2 to finally come to fruition.

With the positive response both the movie and the anime received, there's a high expectation surrounding Demon Slayer Season 2. Fans and critics alike both love its eccentric storyline and everything in between. Now that all eyes are on the second installment, here is what you need to know.

Sadly, Ufotable Studio is yet to announce the second season's coming officially. However, with the success of its movie adaptation, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, breaking a lot of box office records and even dethroning Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away, it's not far that a new season will be in the works.

It has been praised for its engaging storyline and superb animation. Now, everyone is expecting to see it once again hitting the small screen. So, the animation studio will be announcing the renewal in no time, by the looks of it.

According to TV Season Spoilers, it's quite impossible for the series to get canceled due to its cult following. Surely, there will be a massive backlash from its thousands, if not millions, of fans all over the world.

Rumors have it the franchise's cast and crew are already back at work for Demon Slayer Season 2's production, although it's yet to be officially confirmed, per The Cinemaholic. Recently, Yahoo! Japan also revealed some industry insiders claimed things about the title's sequel.

However, it remains to be seen if what they are pertaining to is a sequel to the movie or the anime series. If the second season comes to light, it may continue the events after Demon Slayer: Mugen Train ended.

It may also adapt the manga's chapter 71 forward. Tanjiro and the rest of his pals may find themselves in an "entertainment district," where they may face another dangerous demon.

Without a doubt, the works for Demon Slayer Season 2 will soon begin. With its success, it's surely a lucrative project that no production company can refuse.

Whatever form it will take, either a TV anime or a movie, will surely be a big hit. If the rumors are true and the production indeed began, fans may soon see Demon Slayer Season 2 later this year, per Spring Tribune.
