Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) and Lea Dilallo's (Paige Spara) relationship will be challenged again in the upcoming The Good Doctor season 4 episode 9. The previous episode saw the couple meeting the latter's parents. For the next episode, someone new is coming and could complicate the situation.

In the promo of The Good Doctor season 4 episode 9, Shaun was caught in an unusual position following the arrival of the new resident in radiology at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. As seen in the clip, he is "crushing" on her, which could put his relationship with Lea on the edge.

The new radiologist is clearly showing interest in Shaun, but he seems hesitant and confused because of Lea. This is going to be a new test for their relationship, and it could cause some problems for them. Yet, this isn't also the first time that he deals with this kind of situation.

In the previous season, Shaun and Carly Lever's (Jasika Nicole) relationship fell apart after he admitted that he still has feelings for Lea. Now, a total stranger showed up and challenged his current relationship. It would be interesting to see how he's going to deal with the situation this time around.

Shaun is certain that he loves Lea, but the presence of the new radiologist confuses him. The preview of The Good Doctor season 4 episode 9 also ended with the two sharing a moment, and they're about to kiss. There could be a lot of heartbreaking moments in the event Lea finds out about this.

Aside from Shaun's storyline, other important things are coming in The Good Doctor season 4 episode 9. For instance, Claire Brown (Antonia Thomas) is doing whatever she can to help Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) dealing with her PTSD. This is something that has been affecting her throughout the early run.

Audrey is having a hard time dealing with everything that's going on around her and couldn't focus on her work. Even though Claire offered help, it's clear that she doesn't want any of it. But, she may eventually realize that she needs other people to cope with what she's going through.

Meanwhile, no new episodes of the medical drama are airing for the next two weeks. Instead, the two-part season 4 opener, "Frontline," will be on repeat. The story focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and how everyone deals with it.

The Good Doctor season 4 episode 9 airs on Monday, Feb. 15, on ABC.
