Nearly three decades have passed since Jackie Kennedy met her demise. Despite this, the public still takes an interest in her private life.
This dynamic is not surprising considering how popular she was during her time inside the White House. Some reports even deemed her the embodiment of American aristocracy and the face of modern femininity. Accordingly, several individuals appear to be quite eager to learn more about her, especially her diet.
Cheat Sheet recently reported that most of the former First Lady's favorite meals were "simple." She, reportedly, maintained her thin figure because of what she ate and the way she ate them.
For breakfast, Jackie Kennedy preferred to have a boiled egg alongside a cup of tea. She allegedly kept her options "plain and simple," much like the rest of her diet.
The revelations came from her former assistant and "nanny," Kathy McKeon. In her book, Jackie's Girl: My Life With The Kennedy Family, she revealed several shocking details about the former First Family, particularly the popular Jackie O.
She shared that they would, at times, crash into each other at night in the kitchen. She added that Jackie Kennedy would not even put a light on as she did not want anyone to know about her late-night treats.
Apart from enjoying big spoons of ice cream, the former U.S. President's wife also, reportedly, "adored" fruits. But, if strawberries and creams were out, on-hand brownies would do fine.
Town & Country, also, previously released a simple outline of Kennedy's diet. Based on the article, she sometimes followed a one-meal-per-day diet.
Sources said that when she does this regime, she would have "one baked potato." It would have caviar and sour cream, and this would be her only meal for the day.
However, her meals were not inexpensive. As revealed, she had a specific preference when it comes to her caviar. She would only have her potatoes with Beluga caviar, which costs about $10,000 per 2 pounds.
It is worth noting, though, that no one could confirm today whether Jackie Kennedy truly, followed these regimes. Moreover, she was very particular about her privacy as she wanted to maintain her image.
This became even more apparent when she fired her personal chef in the early 60s. A separate report from Town & Country revealed that the former First Lady let go of Annemarie Huste after she shared some of her recipes with Weight Watchers magazine.
