There was a time when Prince Harry had a hard time getting out of bed because he was overwhelmed just thinking about the problems of the world. However, with his new initiative, the Duke of Sussex said that he has "new optimism" for the future.

This initiative is Travalyst, which he launched in late 2019 as an answer to the looming problems of climate change. Harry said in the organization's latest report that he believes that the tourism industry can do better work in protecting the earth if many travel-related companies will adapt or shift to sustainable practices.

Harry also said that the pandemic crisis, which has stalled people's travel plans for the last 10 months, is actually a great opportunity for pushing significant sustainable goals in the tourism industry.

Despite a shift in the world, the Duke of Sussex has been quietly working with Travalyst from his new home in California. The eco-focused organization has set up a partnership with Booking.Com, TripAdvisor, Skyscanner and Visa to change the consciousness of the traveling public.

However, despite Harry's optimism, some royal observers still do not see any tangible goals for this initiative. Helen Coffey of The Independent wrote that it's still not clear how Travalyst will be able to "change travel for good" unless specific projects will come into play.

A staff from the Duke of Sussex's office said that Travalyst would be laying out its plans with more announcements in the coming months. Harry and the people behind this initiative have been busy with research and pilot projects, which are expected to be unveiled in the next three years.

Meanwhile, after staying put in California since March 2020, Harry is reportedly making plans to fly back to London before the summer. The Duke of Sussex is going to attend special royal family events, such as the 100th birthday of Prince Philip on June 10 and the return of the Trooping the Colour parade for Queen Elizabeth on June 12.

Harry once said that he would have flown back to his home country a lot earlier if not for the pandemic. A source close to the Sussexes said that if travel guidelines and the public health crisis improve, Harry might have an extended stay in the United Kingdom.

It's still unclear, however, if Meghan and Archie will also be coming back to the U.K. Emerging reports indicate that Harry might fly home alone as a matter of discretion because Meghan's presence could distract from the actual significance of the events in June. Apparently, royal watchers will be looking out for any "drama" in the royal family if Meghan is there.
