The Flash season 7 picks up the stories left off in the sixth installment. Eva McCulloch (Efrat Dor), a.k.a. the new iteration of Mirror Master, remains to be the major adversary. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the rest of the Team Flash will try to take down this villain once and for all.

Recently, The CW released the new trailer of The Flash season 7, teasing Barry and Mirror Master's imminent showdown. The latter gained full control of her power and this makes her more dangerous. What's more concerning is that she's now in the real world after escaping the Mirrorverse.

Apart from controlling mirrors, she could also access other reflective surfaces. Mirror Master is one of the most powerful adversaries Barry has encountered to date. The major problem, however, is that his speed is declining -- which means that it would be challenging for him to defeat her.

In addition to dealing with Mirror Master, Barry has to save his wife, Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton), who's still stuck in the Mirrorverse until now. The clip hinted that he opens the portal to the Mirrorverse to rescue his wife. She's been gradually changing ever after being trapped there. This could impact their relationship once she returns to the real world.

Aside from Mirror Master, new and returning villains will emerge in The Flash season 7. For instance, Shadowhunters alum Jon Cor is confirmed to be joining the cast of the superhero drama. The actor will portray the character of Scientist Mark Stevens -- also known as Chillblaine.

Chillblaine is obsessed with cryogenic technology and he's going to be the latest thorn for the Team Flash. He's often partnered with Golden Glider/Lisa Snart in the comics. But then, it's yet to be seen whether Peyton List will reprise her role in season 1.

When it comes to the returning adversaries, Danielle Nicolet, who plays Cecile Horton, teased who could show up in The Flash season 7. During the CCXP Worlds 2020, the actress noted that some of the "bad guy favorites" will make an appearance -- including Godspeed.

Meanwhile, there is no need to worry about the future of the series as The CW renewed the superhero drama for season 8. Ahead of its official premiere, the network already secured the show's future. This only means that new stories will be introduced along the way.

The Flash season 7 will be premiering on Tuesday, March 2, on The CW.
