Boruto Episode 186, titled "How You Use It," may show the defeat of AO. There will be an intense battle between Team 7 and AO, and it will involve using a scientific ninja tool.

In the new episode's official synopsis, via BlockToro, Boruto will enact a new strategy using a scientific ninja tool. Now, the big question is, what will happen in the deadly battle that will occur between Team 7 and Ao.
By the looks of it, Boruto's secret plan to defeat Ao will be revealed. In addition, the official preview shows Team 7 fighting a more enhance Ao using robotic hands and other tools.
It then ends with Ao choking and lifting Boruto, but the latter does not care as he has a plan in mind. The clip also gives a glimpse of Konohamaru, Mitsuki, and Sarada in Boruto Episode 186.
International Business Times added Team 7, along with Konohamaru and Katasuke, would be reeling from Mugino's death after Ao suddenly attacks. The upcoming episode will be adapting two manga chapters, 21 and 22.
In Boruto Episode 185, Konohamaru, Katasuke, and Team 7 were planning their next move inside a hideout. Sarada then said they should leave the place after they had treated Konohamaru's wounds.
However, after Mugino's death, Boruto wanted to take his revenge. Konohamaru believed they had no time to be sad and did Mugino's will instead.
He then revealed Ao was looking for the container's content inside the airship, making Sarada questioned its significance. Konohamaru told Sarada to return the Scroll Flash Drive to the Hidden Leaf Village to undergo thorough analysis.
He knew this thing would give them a right clue about their enemy. Konohamaru also ordered Team 7 and Katasuke to go to the village themselves, as he would like to stay and deal with Ao himself.
Anyhow, Team 7 couldn't help but be worried about Konohamaru's plan. At the end of the episode, they decided to fight together and defeat Ao, which would continue in Boruto Episode 186.
