The doctors at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital are about to experience significant changes in The Resident season 4 episode 6. This is going to be a new era for all of them as the place they were all used to know is now gone. From being a private hospital, it's now transformed into a public hospital.

There will be a lot of important changes for everyone in The Resident season 4 episode 6. The transition won't be entirely easy for the doctors, given that they were used to Chastain being private. Yet, this is still a better option rather than the hospital being sold.

Now that Chastain is a public hospital, there'll be a lot of patients coming. This will further challenge the doctors, which could lead to physical and emotional strain. They have to adapt to the changes and the new system. The changes also mean that a new leader will step in The Resident season 4 episode 6.

The synopsis notes that the search for the new Chastain CEO begins following the hospital's transition. But then, Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal) tries to fix the system after seeing an opportunity how to handle the situation. Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood) also asks a favor of his step-son (Conrad Ricamora).

Elsewhere in The Resident season 4 episode 6, Nic Nevin (Emily VanCamp) is struggling with her recovery. While dealing with her current condition, her close friend and former Chastain colleague, Billie (Jessica Lucas), returned to support her.

In episode 5, Nic was put in danger after being stabbed by a deranged patient. The doctors race against time to save her, as well as her pregnancy. As seen in the promo of next week's episode, the attack still lingers on her mind, which further threatens her condition.

Speaking to TV Insider, VanCamp discussed whether or not viewers should be concerned for her and her baby. She said that they're "on an upswing" in the current episode they're shooting. This is something that will play out in her storyline for quite some time.

Meanwhile, Billie will be a major part of the story moving forward. Aside from coming back to support her close friend Nic, she showed up in Chastain for other reasons. She's going to be involved in other storylines, though her arc might be a slow burn.

The Resident season 4 episode 6, titled "Requiems & Revivals," airs on Tuesday, Feb. 16, on Fox.
