Vincenzo is an upcoming Korean drama on tvN starring Song Joong Ki. The actor plays the titular role of Vincenzo Cassano, a Mafia consigliere and Italian lawyer. He was of Korean descent but was adopted by an Italian family when he was still young.
Vincenzo follows Song Joong Ki's character, who returned to Korea when his organization faced several conflicts. After moving back to his birth country, he crossed paths with the "sharp-tongued lawyer" Hong Cha Young (Jeon Yeo Bin) and her intern Jang Joon Woo (2PM's Taecyeon).
The three of them will join forces and they all have the same goal: take down the villain who can't be punished by the law. Yet, they will be going on a different approach in bringing these people down -- they're going to use villainous methods to achieve justice.
Now, tvN has shared more posters featuring Song Joong Ki as the titular character. The new stills showed Vincenzo Cassano encountering unexpected hurdles in Korea. In one of the photos, he can be seen aiming his gun at someone.
In another image, the titular character was at the airport and dressed in a suit. It looks like he just came back to his birth country after being gone for many years. Also, his problems will immediately arise a few hours after his arrival.
In the last still, Song Joong Ki's character looks frustrated and exhausted at the same time. He's still at the airport and wearing his suit, but now soiled with dirt. This seemingly suggests that he encountered something and the situation goes south.
Despite the intense on-screen scenes, the cast members had fun during the first day of filming Vincenzo. Some behind-the-scene clips showed the cast in a fun atmosphere while they were all laughing. The footage coincides with the latest stills in the airport, as well.
A police officer stopped and questioned Vincenzo at the airport. The cop checked his passport and looks impressed by his foreign name. In Korean, his name ends with a syllable that sounds like "Cho," prompting to officer to ask him which clan he's from.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki also teased that there is a special cameo in the premiere episode of the series. He also joked that the actor, who's on the location, looks uneasy and nervous. The caption of the video also asked fans who this cameo actor will be in episode 1.
Vincenzo is set to premiere on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 9 PM KST, on tvN.
