My Hero Academia Chapter 301's full summary is now out, and it will focus on the Todoroki family. Fans will get to know how this clan started, from Endeavor's proposal to Rei to the dramatic change that happened to Touya, becoming Dabi.
The My Hero Academia Chapter 301 spoilers also reveal what will happen next to Chapter 302. By the looks of it, the story of the Todoroki family will continue until the next chapter.
Titled "Careless Handling of Fire, First Part," it will start with a flashback scene where Endeavor meets Rei's family to ask her hand for marriage. The woman's parents seem happy that Endeavor wants to marry her, saying their daughter is the best partner for a top hero like him.
It then returns to the present time, when Endeavor looks surprised to see Rei in the hospital, BlockToro noted. It then switches to the present day Dabi, convincing himself Endeavor will never die with his injury because he is his father.
He also says it is the best time to come out, and he wants to see his Endeavor in pain while his family will look at him in the "pit of hell." It then again returns to a flashback scene where Endeavor stops the little Touya's training after showing burns.
Touya starts to whine and asks Endeavor to continue training, to which the latter disagrees for his son's good. The panel then shows Endeavor and Rei in the hospital to consul about Touya's condition.
The doctor explains Touya's fire and ice quirk genes are getting stronger. Later, the sequence turns to Touya, convincing his father he can withstand the burn and pain, so they can continue training.
He then declares he wants to surpass All Might, and Endeavor should be the one to light the fire. Rei and Endeavor are then seen talking, and the initial tells her husband "that" will be cruel.
By the looks of it, he wants Touya to give up as he may only burn himself, believing the little kid has no way to surpass All Might. Touya continues his training and wants his father to notice his efforts.
However, Endeavor scolds him and once again wants him to stop and live a normal life. Touya refuses, telling his dad he is his son and starting to use his quirk.
As Rei walks toward her child to cool him down, Touya says the fire Endeavor lights in him will never fade. This marks the change in Touya, turning into Dabi and calling his father by his first name, "Endeavor."
The spoiler also reveals what will happen in My Hero Academia Chapter 302, saying the past now becomes clear and the next chapter will still be about the family.
My Hero Academia Chapter 301 is set to be out on Sunday, February 14, at midnight Japan Standard Time, per HITC.
