Light Yagami from Death Note remains to be one of the most "notorious" anti-hero protagonists in all anime series and manga comics. But, despite his villainous character, he seemingly proved that he had some good in himself, as well.

CBR explained some of the moments, wherein Light manifested his humanity in the course of the series. While it may not be as apparent as some would think, it appears that he still cared for others.

One of the most proving cases was when he saw himself as a "protector." This came after he decided to take justice into his own hands for the sake of other people.

The publication noted, though, that while he declared himself as a "god" upon realizing the power of the Death Note, he was only, reportedly, referring to the new abilities he found for himself. As analyzed, Light was not implying for others to worship him.

The report continued that Light, also, cared for his father, Soichiro Yagami. He proved this several times in the entire course of Death Note.

When his father suffered a breaking point, Light and L visited him at the hospital. The two had a serious talk, which seemingly upset Soichiro because L was suggesting that Sayu Yagami might be Kira. The anti-hero protagonist immediately warned his companion about his statements as it might impact his father's health during that "delicate time."

In another shocking twist amid the course of Death Note, Light, also, felt bad about everything, particularly after learning that Soichiro made an eye trade with Ryuk. He thought about everything that happened to his father, and he wanted Shuichi Aizawa or Hideki Ide to have the eyes instead.

As explained, the eye trade would allow the person to gain the power of shinigami at the cost of half of the individual's remaining life. Despite knowing the consequences, Soichiro still pushed through with his plan to "soothe his guilty conscience" after what happened to Sayu.

While Light Yagami manifested his good side in some moments from Death Note, a separate report from CBR stated that his personality is quite different from the original manga series. In the manga, the anti-hero protagonist was not "as malicious as" he was in the series. Light kept more to himself as a loner. But, even so, he did not hate his life or the things that it entailed. Conversely, in the anime series, he became more "vindictive" as he became a person filled with hatred.
