Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be sitting down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all interview and the special is set to air on CBS on Mar. 7, 2021.

According to ITV, the Duchess of Sussex signed a deal with the Oprah Winfrey Special over the weekend. CBS revealed the program summary to the press, confirming that the episode will be referred to as "Oprah interviews Meghan Markle."

The 90-minute special will have Meghan discussing her transition from an American TV actress to being a member of the British royal family. She is also expected to talk about her marriage, motherhood, her charity work and how she deals with her intense life under public scrutiny.

Prince Harry will also join his wife in a later segment, where they will publicly discuss their decision to leave the royal life and move to the United States for the very first time. According to Daily Mail, Harry might also share details about his rift with his brother, Prince William.

It comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Valentine's Day that they are expecting their second child after experiencing a miscarriage in July 2020. Speculations are that Meghan is likely five months pregnant hence she cannot return to London for the Trooping the Colour parade in June.

The Queen invited the Sussex pair to fly back home for the special event to mark her birthday. However, word got out earlier that Meghan will likely not be joining the event, citing travel restriction concerns due to the pandemic.

According to Daily Mail, the special interview is expected to impact Buckingham Palace as much as the interviews of Princess Diana in 1995 and Prince Andrew in 2019. However, the Palace has immediately issued a statement to say that Harry and Meghan are no longer working members of the royal family, thus they can make any decisions about their commitments to the media.

Since leaving their royal roles in early 2020, Meghan and Harry have been rumored to be in discussions with Winfrey for a tell-all. Winfrey issued a denial about her alleged involvement in the Sussex's decision to give up their royal life. The TV host said that Harry and Meghan do not need help to figure out what they want with their lives but she fully supports the couple's decision for their growing family.

Meanwhile, it's unclear if the interview will be done remotely because of pandemic protocols. It's also unclear which network will air the special in the U.K.
