Camilla Parker Bowles revealed that she felt overjoyed after getting her first jab against COVID-19 with her husband Prince Charles.

The Duchess of Cornwall also relayed that the vaccination does not hurt at all and that she was grateful to receive the shot from the healthcare workers.

Camilla was at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham to check the vaccine clinical trials among cancer patients. It was her first joint royal engagement with the Prince of Wales since two months ago.

The duchess and the Prince of Wales took time to talk to the trial volunteers and told them not to worry since the process does not take long. Camilla said that she was surprised that her injection was done and over with so quickly in a painless process.

Now, the Duchess of Cornwall said that she feels very good and more secure as her panic over the coronavirus has been pacified following their jab. Camilla tested negative when Charles had the virus infection in early March 2020. The royal couple had to isolate at different wings of the Prince of Wales' Birkhall residence while he had COVID-19.

The pair is currently staying in Highgrove in Gloucestershire but Camilla is believed to occasionally visit Ray Mill House, her own residence. It's unclear when Charles and Camilla plan to move back to Clarence House in London as the government has yet to ease down on its restrictions.

But while Camilla "leapt for joy" after her vaccination, Charles is apparently sad over the turnout of ethnic minorities eager to get the protection. According to the Prince of Wales, it's important to ramp up the campaign of the vaccine rollout, especially among the minorities because of the number of casualties and infection in this demographic.

In a virtual event for the British South Asian Trust, where Charles is the royal patron, proponents of the vaccine who are also members of the minority group assured the public that there is "no animal products" in the formula. The vaccine won't have an adverse effect on fertility, which has been one of the false reports circulating on the internet.

Charles and Camilla, who are in their 70s, joined other high-profile personalities across the world who support the vaccination. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, who are in their 90s, also completed their vaccination in January. Prince William, who is in his 30s, hasn't had the vaccine yet but said that he's proud of his grandparents in leading the campaign to get the safe procedure.
