SHINee's Minho, whose real name is Choi Min-ho, appeared on KBS's variety show Problem Child in House during the Feb. 23 episode. The South Korean rapper was asked several questions, including his time in the military service, SHINee's come back, and more.

During the interview, one of the MCs asked Minho regarding his time in the Marine Corps. He said that he is the type of person who wanted to experience challenges even though he knows that it would be difficult for him. He, then, revealed that he hadn't taken his final leave while he was in the service.

He explained that they weren't able to take longer breaks because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They would be discharged early on their final leave, instead. He wanted to join the national dream, but regretted it saying: "None of my peers were there and it was just me."

He also revealed that he saw AKMU's Lee Chanhyuk, who enlisted in the Marine Corps, as well. He was able to see him at the time Lee Chanhyuk was about to be discharged. As for how he addressed him, he said that he's a senior in the military but a junior in the music industry.

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment announced in January 2021 that SHINee will make their first comeback after two years. Later on the same month, the boy band held a special live The Ringtone: SHINee is back, wherein they announced that their seven studio album Don't Call Me will be released on Feb. 22.

According to Minho, all of them were passionate about doing the album since it had been a while since they released their previous one. He said that they poured everything they had into the choreography as it is the last even though it's tough to do it.

During the interview, he also talked about his friendship with TVXQ's Changmin, who sent him a letter while he's completing his military service. Minho said that he asked him how he was doing as he knew it was hard being in the military.

He revealed that they have a lot of hobbies in common, including soccer and watching movies. He added that Changmin's letter ended with the entire spoilers for Avengers: Endgame, the movie which he wanted to see. He, then, joked: "My tears completely dried up."

Minho also shared his "top 3 soccer idols." The South Korean rapper is a "soccer idol" and dreamed of becoming a soccer player when he was young. He picked Highlight's Yoon Doojoon, VIXX's Leo, and himself as his idols in the game.
