Girl's Generation's Taeyeon remembers the birthday of the late SHINee member Jonghyun by posting their selfie via Instagram story. Fans around the world also remembered the late idol with commemorating post.
On April 8, Taeyeon shared a black and white photo of her with Jonghyun through her Instagram story remembering the late SHINee member. The two have known each other since they were from the same agency and they also worked together for collaborations.
They've become very close friends, and, the day when the late artist passed away, Taeyeon shared a heartfelt letter to Jonghyun and posted it on her Instagram. She said the late SHINee member is the "most special," "cool," and "fantastic" artist in her life.
After Jonghyun's death, Taeyon even asked the public to find his missing pet dog named Roo. The dog was reportedly last seen on May 25, 2018, near a hospital in the Gangwondo Province, Hongcheon County. Ever since the news broke, the Girl's Generation member retweet some posts and spread the news to get Jonghyun's pet back home safely.
The late SHINee member passed away on December 18, 2017, and reports say he died due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Many of his friends, particularly other SHINee members, have canceled their schedules on that day because of the shocking news.
Meanwhile, the Instagram page of SHINee recently uploaded a photo of the late Jonghyun on the midnight of April 8, and the post was accompanied by with hashtags: "#SHINee #JONGHYUN #19900408". Fans around the world quickly responded on the photo, remembering the late idol on his 29th birthday, and his 30th in the Korean age. Some of his fans asked if he's doing well and if he's not alone, while others said they still miss and love him.

In another report from Allkpop, a lot of fans noticed that the self-composed track, "Dear Diary," of Red Velvet's Yeri included a tribute to the late SHINee member. The track was released as a part of SM Station 3 on March 14, and it was written, composed, and directed by Yeri herself.
One of the lines from the song says, "I hope you have a dreamless sleep." That particular phrase was reportedly one of the favorite lines of Jonghyun that he usually used. The Red Velvet member and the late SHINee member have known each other and have a very close relationship, so many fans quickly commented Yeri treasured Jonghyun, and she must've missed him so much.
