Following reports that Jennie from BLACKPINK has been dating G-Dragon of BIGBANG for a year, concerned fans of the K-pop star are asking YG Entertainment to set the record straight to protect their artists.

Jennie has apparently gone quiet on her social media account, where she was posting every day. Fans said that her infrequent posts might have something to do with the rumors of her romance with G-Dragon since no one has confirmed nor denied the expose.

Since the news came to light, members of the BLINKs have been flooding YG Entertainment's inbox and social media feeds with messages to protect Jennie, specifically. Apparently, the superstar has been receiving hate messages, further impacting her privacy. The fans said that she has been subjected to much more scrutiny because of this dating rumor.

Dispatch first broke the news that Jennie and G-Dragon have been seeing each other for a year. The South Korean news outlet said that this was an open secret within the agency, which manages both the stars.

The story alleged that Jennie and G-Dragon's managers are also in on the big secret and have helped the couple with their secret meetings. Dispatch also showed photographs of Jennie going into G-Dragon's penthouse. One photograph has seen Jennie leaving G-Dragon's home directly to get to The Show.

The news outlet said that Jennie's mother approves of her relationship with G-Dragon and that the couple could be in love with each other and not simply in the getting-to-know-you stage. Dispatch also spoke with a friend who confirmed all of the speculations. Meanwhile, some of Jennie's fans have slammed Dispatch's invasion for following the artist with cameras during her private time.

Jennie and G-Dragon have been working together since 2012, when they both appeared in the music video That XX. Long before Jennie shot to fame with BLACKPINK, she had been a trainee and working with other bands.

Sources said that the two get along so well behind the scenes and G-Dragon has been helping out Jennie with her presence on the camera. At that time, fans already saw their amazing chemistry on the screen. They worked together again for Coup d'Etat and she even sang for one of the rap tracks with G-Dragon.

Jennie and G-Dragon also pop in each other's Instagram accounts over the years. However, no had any inkling because the other BLACKPINK and BIGBANG band members also feature each other on their social media accounts.

According to SCMP, the pairing seems like a match made in heaven because both stars are not only talented but are also brand ambassadors for famous fashion labels in South Korea.
