Netflix dropped the trailer of Lupin part 2 just recently, and it teases more action for Omar Sy's Assane Diop. The character won't stop until he rescues his son, Raoul (Etan Simon), even if a lot of people are after him. The story will be more intense when the remaining episodes air in the coming months.

Lupin part 2 will continue where part 1 ended. The story follows the professional thief, Diop, the only son of an immigrant from Senegal. His father, Babakar (Fragass Assande), moved to France to give his child a better life, but he ended up being framed for stealing an expensive diamond necklace.

Babakar killed himself in prison and left the then-teenage Diop an orphan. Now that he is an adult, he vowed to avenge his father's death and bring down those who framed him. He came up with a plan, which is inspired by a thief named Arsène Lupin.

The first part dropped its five episodes in January 2021 on Netflix. The mystery-thriller received a positive buzz following its release and even made it to the platform's Top 10 rankings in the United States. Now, fans are excited to see what Lupin part 2 has stored.

Recently, Netflix unveiled the preview of the second half and teased a summer release. The story picks up where the first half left off, with Diop finding a way on how to get his son back. The clip hinted at intense, action-packed scenes, and he won't stop until he brings down all the adversaries.

The first part ended with a train showdown between Diop and an assassin hired by Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre), his father's former boss. The gunman was arrested, but he was released when the investigators learned he might have been framed. Eventually, he found a way to kidnap Raoul.

Lupin part 2 is said to be different from the first five episodes as Diop continues to evolve. He may not be able to control whatever is happening around him and has to reach out for help. This might be a good thing since he could get more people on his side to ruin the Pellegrini family.

The remaining five episodes of Lupin part 2 are expected to arrive in mid-2021. George Kay and François Uzan create the French original series. The story is based on the contemporary novels written by Maurice LeBlanc, who created Arsène Lupin in 1905.
