The Blacklist season 8 episode 10 picks up what transpired this past episode. It was initially believed that Liz Keen returned (Megan Boone) and ready to bring Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) down. However, it was revealed that this person is not the real her and just a doppelganger.
The Blacklist season 8 episode 10 will continue where episode 9, titled "The Cyranoid," left off. Until now, there are a lot of questions surrounding Liz -- particularly on when the real one will come back. She hasn't been seen in the past few episodes, although it's clear that she's plotting something to ruin Red.
In the previous episode, Liz and Red come face-to-face and the latter said that their talk has been long overdue. Then, the scene goes back 12 hours earlier, where the Task Force is talking about Liz since she stole a thumb drive from Red's safe deposit box.
The drive contains information about a man named Rakitin. He is a hacker and believed to have connections to the Russians. But then, their system was hack when they're about to uncover who he really is. Harold Cooper (Harry Lennix) suspected Red erased the information and he's the real N13.
Later on, Dembe Zuma (Hisham Tawfiq) told Cooper about a recording where Liz tried to strike a deal with Neville Townsend. The scene shifted to Liz meeting Townsend, but she realized that the Task Force is also there. She ended up killing an officer and escaped afterward.
The good thing is that the Task Force was able to catch Liz, who was actually a doppelganger. However, the Fake Liz escaped the interrogation room and killed Chemical Mary. Then, the scene goes back to the opening of the episode, where Red confronted Liz's lookalike.
Right now, there is no clear indication that the real Liz is coming back in The Blacklist season 8 episode 10. The character wasn't featured in some preview photos, suggesting that the fake one will continue to be part of the story moving forward.
Meanwhile, the title of The Blacklist season 8 episode 10 is "Dr. Laken Perillos." Red and Dembe are going to be in a precarious situation when Townsend deployed this torture specialist (Laverne Cox). What makes this person dangerous is that she's using unorthodox methods to interrogate her victims.
The Blacklist season 8 episode 10 airs on Friday, March 12, on NBC.
