Four young girls in the Philippines were sexually abused by a neighbor after their mother abandoned them to visit her lover.
The woman, who is married, left the children - the eldest a 17-year old who can't hear or speak - to be with her lover.
According to local news outlet Brigada News Davao, the children's father works in another province and sends them money to buy food.
The girls said the neighbor - a man they had been left with - gave them cellphones containing pornographic photos and videos.
The suspect allegedly molested the girls after asking each of them to go to his room where he would "teach" them about sex. He would masturbate in front of them in exchange for cash, Brigada News reported.
The girls said the suspect would sometimes force them to drink alcohol before abusing them.
The youngest, aged 11, was allegedly once dragged to the outside of the house and raped.
The Buhangin Police Station is searching for the suspect. Local officials have yet to hear from the girls' parents.
Brigada News said officials took the children to the Southern Philippines Medical Center for medical and sexual assault tests.
