Shaman King is returning after leaving the small screens two decades ago. But, while it seemingly disappeared before the eyes of the public, 2021 is "shaping up" to be its year.

This comes after the original manga got a digital release, including the previously untranslated volumes 33 to 35, in 2020. Moreover, 3-in-1 omnibus editions of the series will drop, as well, this March. On top of it all, the reboot of the anime series will soon reach every household again.

CBR released a report, revealing the details of the upcoming material. The talks about the reboot have become more apparent earlier this month when Netflix dropped the official trailer.

On YouTube, the streaming giant appears to have re-introduced Yoh Asakura and the rest of the core cast. The clip, also, explained the "purpose of shamans," as well as the popular Shaman Fight.

The same publication, later on, said that the official website of Shaman King released a different promotional video. It introduced the reboot's opening theme song, "Soul Salvation" by Megumi Hayashibara.

The details of the voice cast have been revealed, as well, the following days. As noted, the original members from the 2001 anime series will reprise their roles in the upcoming reboot.

These include Megumi Hayashibara, Katsuyuki Konishi, Romi Park, Takehito Koyasu, Yoko Soumi, Motoko Kumai, and Yuji Ueda. They will voice the characters of Anna, Amidamaru, Tao ren, Faust VIII, Lyserg Diethel, Joco, and Horohoro, respectively.

Comic Book previously reported that the Shaman King reboot will introduce its "big improvements" on Joco McDonell or also known as "Chocolove." The production has continued to adjust the character's overall design to, reportedly, "remove the racially insensitive work" from the original drawings. As explained, it was an issue that the series had as to how it "portrayed other cultures" in their earlier releases.

While fans and avid viewers of Shaman King are now excited for the reboot's premiere, it remains undisclosed as to when it will arrive. In Japan, however, the material will officially drop on April 1, as the promotional video in the country lists its release date.

Anime News Network confirmed this earlier this month, noting that the anime series will premiere at 5:55 PM on various national channels. These include TV Tokyo, BS TV Tokyo, TV Hokkaido, TV Setouchi, TV Aichi, TV Osaka, and TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu.

Conversely, the trailer from Netflix does not offer any information, except 2021 as its official release. Moreover, the platform has yet to confirm when the reboot will drop on their library.
