Crunchyroll recently dropped the trailer for Tokyo Revengers ahead of its April premiere. Many fans and followers have since celebrated as the long wait will soon be over.

The news about the first-ever animated version of the manga series initially came into light late last year. But, due to the pandemic crisis, the public had to wait until earlier in February to learn the material's venture in the world of anime.

Since then, publications have started to drop updates about the series. On Saturday, CBR rounded up all the publicized information about the show, detailing what the fans may need to know.

The outlet reported that the pilot episode of Tokyo Revengers will drop on April 11, on Crunchyroll. But, aside from the anime-based streaming platform, fans and interested viewers may, also, catch the first episode on MBS.

Anime News Network previously said that it would subsequently premiere on the same day on TV Tokyo, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, TV Aichi, and TV Hokkaido. It will premiere, as well, on AT-X on Apr. 12, San-in Chūō Television Broadcasting on Apr. 14, Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting on Apr. 15, BS Asahi on Apr. 18, and RKK Kumamoto Broadcasting on Apr. 23.

Ahead of its release, the official trailer dropped on Crunchyroll. Reports noted, however, that the material is unlike any other teaser trailers today. As explained, the trailer does not come with any voices or subtitles, and it only features pure visuals with its audio.

Nevertheless, fans can take a glimpse at some of the main characters, including Takemichi and Naoto. Tokyo Manji Gang leaders Manjiro "Mikey" Sano and Ken "Draken" Ryuguji are, also, present in the trailer.

Despite having no lines or subtitles, fans can take hints at what Tokyo Revengers can offer to the audience. It features some scenes, as well, that, reportedly, capture the viewers. Moreover, it opens a lot of questions, which seemingly piqued the interest of many individuals.

Comic Book previously released a similar report about Tokyo Revengers. It speculated that the new anime "promises to be one of the next big names in anime."

The same publication, also, shared a brief synopsis of the entire series. As noted, it follows the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, who lives in the "rough spot" of his life.

Things take a huge turn for him upon learning that his ex-girlfriend, who happens to be his first love, passed away. While it remains unclear what specifically caused Hinata Tachibana's demise, it is stated that she was an "unfortunate victim" of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Following the discovery, Takemichi finds himself traveling through time without the knowledge of doing it. He wakes up 12 years younger, during which time he and Hinata are still dating, and surprisingly, he is a member of the infamous Tokyo Manji Gang.
