Anime fans almost always compare series materials from their original manga series. It is no secret that there are several individuals who would choose the latter all the time, and these include avid viewers of Bleach.
The Japanese anime television series is arguably one of the best materials in the industry. Despite it ending almost a decade ago, many people still hold it as one of today's highly acclaimed anime series.
However, this does not mean that they take it as better than the original manga series. CBR even recently released a list, explaining why Tite Kubo's work is way better than Noriyuki Abe and Studio Pierrot's production.
The publication said that several shonen fans may agree that reading Bleach is the "best route." The reason being is that it may provide a much better experience to its audience.
As pointed out, Tite Kubo's work shows how his art styles evolve over time. While it is consistent from volumes 1 to 74, there are changes in terms of aesthetics, which brings more depth to the overall plot.
Aside from the evolving style, the manga series seemingly "showcases" Kubo's technique. As explained, he draws the characters with "hard angles, crisp lines, and sharp contrasts of light and dark."
Although many manga artists can execute the same or similar style and technique, fans can, reportedly, see the huge variations between the anime and the original material.
The same publication, also, argued that when reading the Bleach manga series, instead of watching it, fans need no longer wait for continuations and returns due to hiatuses. Moreover, there are fewer fillers in it than the one produced on small screens.
While these things are great justifications proving that the manga series is way better than the anime series, a separate report from CBR listed as to why some individuals still prefer the latter to the former.
As noted, fans and viewers may visualize more the action-filled storylines, especially fight and battle scenes. It provides more life and visuals to the audience, and this is something that any static artform cannot give. Moreover, the anime series has all kinds of music and sound effects, allowing the audience to feel immersed in the plot.
These arguments are, also, the same points that most Bleach fans would give when asked about the matter. In some discussions on Reddit and Quora, fans and followers of both the manga and anime series have their own biases when it comes to choosing which one is the best.
In the end, though, this only goes to show that Bleach has a huge following across the globe. Furthermore, whichever way they choose to witness the plot and storylines, it seemingly proves that Tite Kubo's work left a mark on the audience.
