Alice is one of the central characters of Sword Art Online. While many people see her and her role as an integral one, especially in the Alicization arc, there are a few who believe that there are things about her that do not make sense.

It is true, though, that her introduction into the plot provided more depth into the overall storyline of the series. However, she is "far from perfect," according to CBR.

With this at hand, the publication released a report, detailing the most apparent things about Alice that many fans do not seem to understand. Even her union with Eugeo received tons of questions from netizens across the globe.

On top of the list, the publication pointed out that Alice breaking the Taboo Index on Sword Art Online never seemingly made a whole lot of sense. Although a young individual doing this would be reasonable and logical for some, Alice's goals into breaking hers raised questions among the viewers.

Similarly, the report, also, included her immediate realizations toward Quinella and how she could not be trusted. As explained, there is only little information as to why her distrust immediately emerged.

All that Quinella did was mention Selka, causing Alice to break down in tears. From that moment on, she consequently knew that she could not trust her.

Another thing that does not make sense about Alice on Sword Art Online is her feelings for Kirito. While some may argue that this is only fitting considering that she and Kirito have been through ups and downs, the publication said that it was her actions after that raised many questions.

As noted, her fighting with Asuna over Kirito never made sense for her character. It was, reportedly, "out of place," and much more when the war with the Dark Territory played a significant role in the middle of it.

A separate report from CBR, also, explained why Alice and Eugeo's "partnership" did not make a whole lot of sense. Apart from having different personalities, it is, reportedly, "too one sided."

Moreover, Eugeo seems to be trapped in the past as he is "in love" with Alice Zuberg, the woman he grew up with, and not the current version, Alice Synthesis 30. While they are each other's "first love," their interactions do not seemingly show intense chemistry between them.

These are likely some of the reasons why many netizens on Reddit and Quora found Sword Art Online too overrated. Some even shared their "hatred" toward Alice on these platforms.

Despite these things, though, there are still many fans and avid viewers who commend and applaud Alice's character. Several individuals even pointed out that her developments throughout the course of the series are, indeed, impressive.
