As the promo sees the family gathers for dinner, it was revealed that Carol is back in town and ready for a little bit of confrontation. The last time Beth's mother was present was when she clashed with Randall over his suitability as a husband to her daughter.
While they reconciled, it looks like Carol may cause another drama in this week's episode. As seen in the clip, both Randall and Beth look embarrassed when she said that children at her school "leave their phone in the lockers during important events."
Carol uttered these words after seeing Beth and Randall's kid using their phones while having dinner together. This could lead to tension since she might make the couple feel that they are bad parents. This is something they'll be navigating in this week's episode.
As for what else is coming, a flashback sees Rebecca Pearson (Mandy Moore) and Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) bringing the triplets -- Randall, Kate, and Kevin -- home. The couple looks happy as they're looking over their babies' cribs.
