Prince Charles is happy that his father, Prince Philip, is out of the hospital after 28 days and told the press during a royal engagement that he is "thrilled" his father's back home at Windsor Castle.

The Prince of Wales look pleased when the press asked about Philip's health and relayed that they've talked "several times" since. Charles also said that he will pass on the messages from the people who said that they are also happy the elderly royal is back home.

Philip, 99, is said to be in "good spirits" upon his return home to Windsor. Palace insiders said that his presence would be a great support for Queen Elizabeth following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

In it, Harry and Meghan implied that they were not protected by the royal family from the negative press and implied that Meghan was held up to a different standard than her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge. The couple also claimed there were some family members who discussed the color of their child's skin while Meghan was still pregnant.

Harry and Meghan, however, made it clear to Winfrey that it was not Prince Philip who made the racist remark. However, they refused to name the royal because it will be "damaging to them."

Meanwhile, royal expert Katie Nicholl said that the royal family has been shielding Philip from Harry and Meghan's revelation. Speaking with 9Honey, the commentator said that Queen Elizabeth's husband does not yet know the "full extent" of what the couple told Winfrey and there were efforts within the royal staff to shield Philip from the media coverage.

Philip was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 16 after complaining that he was feeling unwell for days. He stayed at the King Edward VII Hospital for monitoring but was moved to St Bartholomew's two weeks later.

Buckingham Palace initially revealed that the royal was suffering from an infection. However, days after his move to the hospital with the best cardiac unit in London, the Palace confirmed that Philip underwent a heart procedure.

After his surgery, Philip was moved back to King Edward where he stayed for two more weeks. During his hospital stay, Harry and Meghan's interview aired in the U.S., and then later across the world, sending shockwaves amid their allegations of racism. The couple now said, through U.S. TV journalist Gayle King, that they would've postponed the interview's airing if Prince Philip didn't make it out of the hospital.
