SuperM members Baekhyun and Taeyong, who are from EXO and NCT, respectively, are hitting the headlines recently. This comes after sources claimed that the two K-Pop idols are collaborating for a track on SoundCloud.
AllKpop released a report on the matter, revealing the details of the assertions. As reported, an insider told various media outlets on Friday that the two idols "are preparing a duet song."
The same source, also, noted that the track is written by Taeyong, who has written and composed music for his own K-Pop group since their debut. It remains unknown, though, when the reported song will drop on the platform. Moreover, they have yet to confirm the news, as well as SM Entertainment.
Days prior to the claims, NME reported that the NCT member launched his own SoundCloud account and dropped a self-composed song titled, "Dark Clouds." Upon the premiere, which took place earlier on Monday, fans and supporters rushed to hear the music as it was a surprise treat.
The publication, later on, said that Taeyong composed the track with producer Royal Dive. He has already worked with them in the past for "Long Flight."
As for the EXO member Baekhyun, he is set to release his third mini-album, Bambi, on March 30. Earlier on Saturday, SM Entertainment dropped a "mood sampler" for the upcoming track collection. Fans have since become more eager to hear the full album.
While the details of the reported collaboration between Taeyong and Baekhyun remain unclear, many followers are seemingly hoping for it to happen soon. Several fans, also, appear to believe the news, considering the closeness that the NCT and EXO members have between them.
As to how the friendship began, no one knows the exact details. But, fans have always noticed a lot of things that prove the tight link between Taeyong and Baekhyun.
Last year, the public, also, learned how the NCT member received a hoodie from the EXO vocalist. In a broadcast on V Live, Taeyong wore the clothing piece in question.
Nom-nom Korea said that while the K-Pop idol was talking about Seiko Matsuda, everyone was discussing the hoodie because it was the same one that Baekhyun wore in one of his Instagram posts. As revealed, the EXO member gave it to him when he once insinuated that he would do the same for him.
In a more recent virtual engagement, Doyoung and Taeyong, also, talked about the latter's friendship with Baekhyun. The former even admitted to being "jealous" of his best friend's close links to the EXO member.
