Yomiuri-TV and Funimation announced their plans for the MARS RED anime series. It served as the former's 50th-anniversary project, in partnership with the latter, as well as Signal.MD.

For the better part of the year, the information about the anime adaptation remained scarce. It was only earlier this year when official trailers and teaser materials started to drop on various media channels.

While the public was expecting the pilot's premiere to be on April 6, Funimation brought a treat to its clients and viewers. As it happened, the English-dubbed version of Episode 1 came in early on March 29.

Comic Book Resources consequently reiterated the details of the English cast and production crew of MARS RED. As stated, Funimation released the list following the pilot's English version premiere on the platform.

Sean Schemmel, Zack Aguilar, and Aaron Dismuke lend their voices to the characters of Maeda, Kurusu, and Suwa, respectively. Ciaran Strange, Mick Wingert, Bryan Massey, and Christopher Guerrero are, also, part of the cast for the voices of Defrott, Nakajima, Yamagami, and Takeuchi.

For the characters of Rufus, Aoi, and Misaki, Reagan Murdock, Caitlin Glass, and Dawn M. Bennet took the voice roles. As for Katelyn Barr, Bruce DuBose, and Ben Balmaceda, they are the voices of the English versions of Tenmaya, Okimura, and Moriyama.

Anime News Network released a similar report and named the crew members for the English language adaptation of MARS RED. The team includes Jäd Saxton and Tyson Reinhart, who serve as the ADR Director and Assistant ADR Director, respectively.

It, also, provided the synopsis of the anime series, which takes place in 1923. As explained, vampires have existed for quite sometime during that year. However, the number continues to increase as the mysterious Ascra, an artificial blood source, becomes apparent.

As a result, the government of Japan creates the "Code Zero" unit in the army to take down vampires. The twist, though, is that the members of the team are, also, vampires.

Otakukart recently released an overview, as well, for MARS Red. Aside from reiterating the details of its premiere and plot course, the report, also, shared the summary, as well as the episode release schedule.

As stated, the original adaptation's pilot episode titled, Dawn will air in Japan on April 6. On the same day, the English-dubbed second episode will drop on Funimation.

As for the original second installment titled, Till Death Do Us Apart, Japanese viewers and fans will witness the episode on April 13, on the same platform. The series will be available, though, as well, on AnimeLab.
