Fans will finally see Rick and Morty Season 5 on the small screen in a couple of months. Adult Swim has officially unveiled the much-awaited season's release date, along with a trailer that is very Rick and Morty.

The clip gives fans a glimpse of what will happen in Rick and Morty Season 5, and it will be soon in full swing. It also shows the parodies it is about to feature, including a nod to Voltron.

Adult Swim truly knows how to trick their fans after captioning the trailer with, "Now you can start asking us about Season 6." It has been known that the show's fans couldn't help themselves sometimes, getting very excited to see more the Rick and Morty's duos.

Set to the music of The White Stripes, the trailer, via CNET, shows snippets of what will happen next in the series. Rick and his granddaughter, Summer, fight over the phrasing of the old horror movie cliché.

A sea lord then pulls their carriage and brings them to Beth and Jerry's house. The family is next seen wearing Power Ranger-like superhero costumes in different colors and goes through a zipline through futuristic metallic tunnels.

However, Comicbook noted their suits could be a Voltron parody that Rick and Morty Season 5 would feature. The animated series has been known for using popular movies and TV shows as references for some of its scenes.

The hilarious family seems to reveal an extended Voltron joke as they donned the colorful costumes. Just like in the film, they all go through an elaborate suit-up and mecha sequence.

Polygon added the new season might also reveal Rick and Morty Day, which would feature sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes footages, and other special surprises. Although the series still has to solve several plot holes, the new season may mainly focus on dropping "intergalactic and multiversal madness" episodes as promised.

Rick and Morty Season 4 ended in June 2020, though it seemed not an entire 10-episode season. There's a four-month break amid the episodes, cutting the season into two halves due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Five episodes dropped in 2019, while the rest were out in spring 2020. In true Rick and Morty Season 5 style, it tackled the coronavirus outbreak, making Episode 6 controversial after Rick told Morty to witness how capitalism worked.

More of these may be seen when Rick and Morty Season 5 drops on Sunday, June 20, at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
