Nicki Minaj placed herself alongside President Donald Trump and Elon Musk in a series of social-media posts describing the three as irreplaceable figures with "very strong spiritual signatures," the latest sign of the rapper's increasingly public association with Trump-aligned politics and the billionaire owner of X.
"If I was in a group that lost Trump, Musk & Nicki I'd be losing it too," Minaj wrote on X. "Three very strong spiritual signatures that can never be replaced because they can't be duplicated." She added: "They are one of one." The posts were reported by multiple outlets and captured by social-media archives.
Minaj's remarks went beyond praise for Trump and Musk. She argued that public figures who operate from what she called a "truthful place" can establish a connection with an audience almost immediately, describing that ability as something that can't be manufactured or replicated by a system.
"You have about 3-5 seconds to win the crowd," Minaj wrote. "Because you win the crowd before even speaking. It's a feeling. They sense it. They don't see it. They don't hear it. They know it."
In another post, Minaj divided public figures into two broad groups, saying one "speaks doom over the people" while the other "speaks life into the people." She didn't identify specific individuals or organizations as belonging to either category.
Minaj also criticized an unnamed group for attacking people who had left it rather than examining why those departures occurred. "Instead of the group looking inward to dissect why strong spiritual signatures are fleeing from them, they launch constant attacks on the truth tellers who have long moved on," she wrote.
The comments extend a political shift that became especially visible in December 2025, when Minaj appeared at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest gathering in Phoenix. During an onstage conversation, she praised Trump and Vice President JD Vance and described them as role models for young men, according to the Associated Press. She also told the audience that it was "OK to change your mind."
That position represented a notable change from earlier periods in Minaj's career, when she had criticized Trump, including over immigration policies during his first administration. Her more recent statements have placed her increasingly within conservative political circles, though she hasn't laid out a comprehensive partisan or policy platform.
Her relationship with the administration is also moving beyond political commentary. The U.S. Small Business Administration announced Aug. 31 that Minaj will serve as a judge at its Million Dollar Pitch Competition finale in Washington on Sept. 18.
Minaj will join entrepreneur Grant Cardone and Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia on the judging panel, while actor Dean Cain will host the event. Five entrepreneurs are scheduled to compete for portions of a $1 million prize pool funded by Clover Network, according to the SBA.
Musk has separately become a recurring subject of Minaj's public praise. Her latest posts put him and Trump together with Minaj herself as personalities whose influence, in her telling, derives from qualities that audiences recognize instinctively rather than from conventional institutions.
Minaj previously used the phrase in "Just the Memories," from her 2023 album "Pink Friday 2," making the latest usage an extension of language she has used to describe her own identity and career.
