Better Call Saul season 6 is going to be the last one for the crime drama and there are plenty of questions that must be answered. For instance, it is still unknown is what happened to Jimmy McGill's (Bob Odenkirk) wife, Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn), and why she's not in the Breaking Bad timeline.

Kim's fate is yet to be seen in Better Call Saul season 6. The character hasn't appeared in the sequel series, leading to speculations that something bad happened to Jimmy's wife in the prequel. Although nothing is confirmed, some believed that her storyline ended on a tragic note.

At the moment, the cast and crew are shooting the final installment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Odenkirk noted that he doesn't know how the series is going to end, but he told The Hollywood Reporter his version of Jimmy and Kim's conclusion.

While the actor made it clear that he's doubtful the couple remains in contact in the Breaking Bad timeline, he pointed out that anything is possible in the story. In the interview, Odenkirk said there's a version in which Jimmy and Kim stay married and living a "Mary Matalin and James Carville-type situation."

He noted that Kim is a super-powered lawyer, while Jimmy is a "complete scumbag ambulance" being chased by many. The actor added that the two go home at night, taking their masks off and kind to each other. However, there's a real concern on why she's not present in the sequel.

Better Call Saul season 6 might be setting something big for Kim; either death or she just decided to move somewhere else away from Jimmy. The latter seems likely as their relationship has been tainted due to her husband's actions in the past.

For now, fans have to wait and see what the future holds for Kim. She's one of the most important persons in Jimmy's life, yet he changed and turned into Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad. This indicates that she's not part of his life anymore and they decided to go on separate ways.

Meanwhile, the recently-released photo from Better Call Saul season 6 teased the return of three major villains: Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton), Juan Bolsa (Javier Grajeda), and Don Eladio (Steven Bauer). The image was posted in the series' official Twitter with the caption: "Just three cool, terrifying dudes."

These three have been an essential part of the story and their appearance in the final installment gives a glimpse of the backstory in Breaking Bad. All of them will appear in the prequel since the events in the sequel were about to unfold.

The official release date of Better Call Saul season 6 hasn't been set at the moment.
