Wendy of Red Velvet is gearing up for the release of her debut solo album. Days ahead of the premiere, the group's vocalist repeatedly dropped several teaser materials on social media platforms. These include different photos of her, featuring a nature backdrop.

But, apart from these images, Wendy, also, unveiled the special package of the limited edition of the upcoming track collection. AllKpop reported that the reveal seemingly shocked many netizens. As explained, the design and built "mesmerized" the public because of how good it looks.

The package features flowers of different shades of blue. Moreover, it is encased in resin, which makes it more appealing.

The publication, then, said that fans and followers consequently talked about the aesthetics of the album. In an online community, many individuals praised the Red Velvet member because of the impressive cover.

The discussion among the community members, also, revealed that the limited edition will only have a total of 300 copies. This is why many of them hope for the agency to increase the number of units.

Apart from the appealing cover of Like Water, fans are excited, as well, because one of the tracks will feature not only Wendy but one of her closest friends from Red Velvet. Pinkvilla said that Seulgi will, also, play a significant role in the upcoming collection. As revealed, the two K-Pop idols collaborated for the track "Best Friend."

The song will be included in the B-side version of the album. Sources claimed that it will be a "sweet and slow-tempo ballad track," which tackles "friendship and companionship."

The same publication, later on, asserted that the lyrics are "perfect for Seulgi and Wendy" because of their close links.

Like Water will officially drop on April 5. The Red Velvet vocalist, alongside SM Entertainment, first announced the mini-album on Thursday.

Fans and followers of Wendy immediately celebrated on various platforms because this will serve as her debut as a solo artist. Moreover, it marks her official return from her hiatus of almost a year and a half.

Bandwagon reported that the album houses two tracks, with each having two versions. The titles are "Like Water" and "When This Rain Stops."

On the same day of the announcement, Wendy took the time to share her own thoughts on their group's official social media accounts. She said that considering Like Water is her first solo track collection, it is a "precious" one for her, adding that she will "work harder."
