Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are likely not going to name their daughter, who will be born in the summer, after the Duke of Sussex's mother, Princess Diana.

A source revealed that the couple is wary of the attention of naming their daughter Diana even as this would be the "ultimate ode" to Harry's mother. Instead, there are speculations that the couple might name their second child after Doria Ragland, Meghan's mother.

The source added that despite what the public might think of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they value the privacy of their children too much. They've imagined that if they named their daughter Diana, she would encounter much scrutiny in school or when she travels. Harry and Meghan want their daughter to be able to find her own path and not live up to the name.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex might, however, give Diana as the baby's middle name but that would be a cause for concern as well since Prince William and Kate Middleton were the first to use the name Diana for their daughter, Princess Charlotte. The young Cambridge royal's real name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. The source said Harry and Meghan won't want any comparisons with their kids to William and Kate's children.

However, Andrew Morton, Princess Diana's biographer, said that Harry and Meghan could still honor the late Princess of Wales and name their daughter Frances, which was her middle name. Morton also thinks that the name Doria is in the running.

Harry and Meghan announced that they are expecting their second baby last Valentine's Day. Incidentally, Diana also announced her second pregnancy, who was Harry, during the same occasion 37 years ago.

During their interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that their second baby will be a girl. A friend of the couple said that they plan to have a home birth, if there are no hitches. Meghan also planned home birth for Archie Harrison in 2019, however, they shifted to a hospital birth after the baby was a week overdue.

The friend also said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take a time off when the baby comes so they could enjoy the moments with their new daughter together. The statement received some backlash online because no one understood what the couple would be taking time off from since they "do not have work." Some joked that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be taking a break from "dissing the royal family" while the rest said it would be a break from their whining.
