After announcing The Way of the Househusband Season 2, Netflix dropped the first season's opening theme song. Kousuke Oono's masterpiece is now taking the manga world by storm, and though its anime debut season has some fans complaining, the second installment promises to redeem itself.
Netflix takes Oono's manga series to a different world when it adapts Tatsu's story on the small screen. With the coming of The Way of the Househusband Season 2, fans expect that it will finally live up to its manga's success.
According to Comicbook, the anime series celebrates its debut with the release of its official opening theme sequence. As the show itself only features more than a minute of the song, it drops the whole track on YouTube.
Uchikubigokumon-Doukoukai performed the said track, titled "Shufu no Michi," which is about three minutes long. The song is so upbeat fans love it, making it a perfect piece that goes along the series.
Meanwhile, despite the popularity, not everyone seems to like the anime's first season. It receives mixed responses from fans, as some are even disappointed to see how it differs from the manga series's perfect storyline.
Fortunately, Epic Dope noted The Way of the Househusband Season 2 would come to compensate for the first installment's failure. Netflix Japan announced the second season's coming, saying it is already under production.
The anime's cast and crew may reprise their roles in the second season. So, fans will once again hear Kenjiro Tsuda, who played the titural role in the manga's live-action adaptation, as Tatsu.
Tatsu will continue to live his new life, though his previous work and everything related to it will try to lure him back to the underworld. With the superb quality of other Netflix's anime content, there are now high expectations for this series' continuation.
The anime only has a 6.66/10 rating on MyAnimeList and 7.3/10 on IMDb. As the series has only begun, it is expected to grow in the coming days.
The manga, on the other hand, is currently ongoing, and its seventh volume is out in March 2021. So, there are a lot of source materials for the anime to continue from the second season onwards.
So, when will The Way of Househusband Season 2 will be out? After Netflix announced the first season in October 2020, it was out in April 2021, per HITC. If the streaming giant would have the same production schedule, the second season might drop in September 2021 or anytime later this year.
