A 23-year old resident from Land O' Lakes, Florida, is the youngest Powerball jackpot winner in the state. He won the March 27 Powerball draw with a $235.4 million jackpot.

Lottery officials said Thomas Yi claimed his winnings at the lotteries headquarters in Tallahassee. The multimillionaire chose to receive his winnings in a one-time lump-sum payment of $160.04 million.

Yi said he's still in disbelief. He said he was unconvinced when all of his six numbers matched. Yi said he went to the place where he had bought the ticket to have it checked.

"The clerk at the counter instantly became excited and kept repeating that I had won the $235 million jackpot. I knew then that this would be life-changing," Yi said.

Yi doesn't know what he'll do with the money bust says it "will come in handy." He still plans to pursue higher education in either medicine or business.

Yi is Florida's 15th Powerball jackpot winner and the youngest.

Yi purchased his jackpot-winning lottery ticket at a store located at 16560 North Nebraska Avenue in Lutz. The lottery retailer will also receive a commission of $95,000.
