Sunmi recently discussed her time as a member of Wonder Girls. In her appearance on KBS 2TV's Come Back Home, she recalled some of the moments she experienced under JYP Entertainment.

Koreaboo reiterated what the K-Pop idol revealed during the interview. She said that the members of their group almost debuted with different stage names.

Sunmi stated that Park Jin Young was the one who gave their supposed names as members of the group. She received the name "Berry," while Sohee and Yeeun obtained "IC" and "Silver," respectively.

She continued that they did not like those names. Despite this, though, they could not say anything about it.

But, the label eventually went on a different way. Upon their debut, they chose to stick with their real names.

In the same engagement, the former Wonder Girls member revealed that she first auditioned for SM Entertainment when she was in her sixth grade. However, an employee from the agency recommended for her to audition for JYP Entertainment. Sunmi, also, stated that the name of their group came from a reality show of the same title.

The "Gashina" singer is one of the only two original members of Wonder Girls to stay until their disbandment in 2017. Although she took a break from their act in 2010, she returned to the K-Pop scene in 2013.

In 2015, she made a comeback to the group. Two years later, however, they left JYP Entertainment, and have since parted ways to embark on their respective solo careers.

E! reported that Sunmi has remained to be the most active former member of the group. She is the first one, as well, to start a career as a solo artist upon releasing "24 Hours" and "Full Moon."

The Wonder Girls vocalist has continued to reach new heights in the world of South Korean entertainment. She just recently dropped her latest album, TAIL, which obtained immense attraction and appeal from the public.

It houses two tracks, and she wrote both of the materials, according to Soompi. The lead song, which carries the same title, was composed by Sunmi, as well, alongside FRANTS.

She officially dropped the track collection earlier in February. Sunmi has remained focused on promoting her latest project before the public.

The official music video has now amassed more than 29 million views and over 638,000 likes. Many individuals, especially fans and supporters, praise her for the title track, "TAIL," because of its unique concept.
