Fans are now looking forward to seeing Demon Slayer Season 2 following Demon Slayer: Mugen Train's release in the U.S. As the film's story will continue in the anime, what will be the future of Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko?
Tanjiro and his friends will continue hunting the demons in ancient Japan to find a cure for Nezuko in Demon Slayer Season 2. After a long and epic journey, will they finally succeed this time?
According to BlockToro, the second season will adapt the manga's Entertainment District arc. Here, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke will start a new epic mission for the Demon Slayer Corps.
The three will be making their way to Yoshiwara, where the city's bright lights hide a dark history. They will be facing new and powerful demons like never before as they work harder to save Nezuko.
Demon Slayer Season 2 will pick up where Demon Slayer: Mugen Train left off as it plants several seeds for the anime to continue, IGN noted. It may explore the secret technique that Tanjiro's dad uses and reveal more about the twelve Kizuki's upper ranks.
In addition, there are theories Tanjiro may be the next Hashira, as Rengoku is now gone. There are a number of storylines the new season may explore, especially after its official poster features Tengen, the Sound Hashira.
One of the nine Hashira wants to execute Tanjiro for being around Nezuki, which is forbidden in the Demon Slayer Corps. However, the protagonist and the gang have to work with him in the next installment to find the missing wives in Yoshiwara.
The sequel's trailer shows Tanjiro and his team analyzing the Yoshiwara Red-Light District, where they come across a mysterious woman. She claims she is also a victim of the demons, but her smile says otherwise, per TV Season Spoilers.
There are assumptions she is a demon, too, putting Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko, and Tengen in danger. Can they find out the truth about this beautiful but wicked lady?
Find out when Demon Slayer Season 2 finally drops in summer 2021. Though the franchise is yet to release the official release date of Tanjiro's return to the small screen, it is expected to be out really soon.
It may feature another set of 26 episodes, just like the first season, so it may also be released in November and follow a weekly release schedule.
