14 months have passed since cignature debuted under C9 Entertainment. The agency's sub-label, J9 Entertainment has since managed the seven-member K-Pop group.

The all-female act has had a successful flight since they officially entered the industry. While they were supposed to make a comeback earlier in March, their agency dropped a shocking announcement on Tuesday.

Soompi released a copy of the press release, which centers on the two members, Sunn and Ye Ah. As explained, the group's agency has now terminated their exclusive contracts "without conditions."

The label did not disclose any information regarding the exit. But, they alleged that the two idols' previously shared their plans on being "no longer active" members of the group. Following this, they, reportedly, consulted with Sunn and Ye Ah, along with their respective parents.

J9 Entertainment, later on, apologized for the "sad news." As noted, they are particularly sorry to the fans who are patiently "waiting for cignature's comeback."

Despite this, the sub-label of C9 Entertainment assured that they are doing their best for the group. They, also, hinted that they are putting all of their efforts into the artists' return to the K-Pop scene.

In the end, the agency encouraged the public to continue their interest and support for the now-five-member group. This means that when cignature returns, it will consist of Jee Won, Selin, Chaesol, Semi, and Belle.

The public last witnessed and heard cignature in September. They released their first mini-albumListen and Speak.

It generally received positive ratings and reception from fans and supporters. The track collection even peaked at 21 on the local's chart positions.

Prior to their latest music release was their debut. The seven members dropped their first single ever titled, "Nun Nu Nan Na" earlier in February of 2020.

Reports described the debut song as a "trap style" with genres of disco and dubstep. It, also, serves as the lead track single of Listen and Speak, which houses two more other songs, "Assa" and "Arisong."

The official music video of "Nun Nu Nan Na" has since amassed over 4 million views on YouTube. Over 215,000 individuals liked the material, seemingly explaining the more than 10,000 comments on the platform.

Several fans and supporters expressed their admiration toward cignature in the said section. Some even pointed out that while they did not find the track "catchy" at first, it became a "favorite" the more they listened to it.

Meanwhile, as the reports about Sunn and Ye Ah's departure continue to develop, the rest of the members have yet to break their silence. But, considering that the label has already released an official statement, it is unlikely that the five K-Pop idols will address the matter.
