The five members of ITZY share different kinds of friendships with one another. While they are all like sisters now, this was not always the case, especially between Yeji and Lia.

Koreaboo said that the two K-Pop idols talked about their differences in a previous episode of 2TZY: Hello 2021. They both recalled some of the moments when they were still trainees under JYP Entertainment.

As discussed, Lia and Yeji only became close when they were already living together as rookies. But, as trainees, the former even told her group leader that she was not her "type."

Yeji seemingly agreed to Lia's assertions. She explained that she would have picked her when someone asked which among the ITZY members was "completely different" from her.

The two K-Pop idols continued that everyone in their act was aware of the differences between them. They conceded that their personalities "were polar opposites of another."

Despite this, though, they have since grown closer together. The group leader noted that they both "naturally adjusted," with Lia adding that their opposing personalities helped them accept each other "for who they are."

In the end, they gave pieces of advice to their fans and viewers, especially those who want to have the same friendship. The two South Korean stars emphasized that one should not "try to understand." Instead, accept others for the person "who they are."

In the same engagement, Yeji and Lia, also, shared their "envy" toward each other. The ITZY leader admitted that she envied her co-member "for a lot of things."

She recalled that Lia's voice stood out the most among all the trainees. She even claimed that her vocals had a "distinct characteristic," adding that always felt envious during monthly evaluations.

Conversely, Lia told Yeji that she never felt the same toward her. She explained that it was all because she knew how the group leader was "way too good" as a trainee.

Lia continued that she never felt "competitive" toward Yeji. Aside from describing her as "so good," she said that her co-member was "too high up to be able to compete with."

Meanwhile, ITZY is now gearing up for their official comeback this year. They will drop their fourth mini-album, Guess Who on April 30.

It houses a total of six tracks, with "M.A.F.I.A. in the Morning" serving as the lead single. They have been releasing several teasers and other promotional materials ahead of the premiere.
