The success and popularity of Demon Slayer continue to become more evident these days. Following the record-breaking run of the Mugen Train film on big screens, it is not surprising why anything related to the franchise obtains attention from the public.

Comic Book reported that there are now plans to bring the "Mugen Train" to life. Toy company Takara Tomy announced their future moves, alongside the franchise.

As it happened, a train set for toy collectors will arrive in Japan this summer. Apart from the plastic rail set, resembling the appearance of the Mugen Train from the film, the package will, also, come with "fun figures."

The publication continued that the figures will feature the characters from the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. These include Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Rengoku, and Nezuko.

While the figures for the villains will, also, likely be available, especially for collectors, reports said that the package from the toy company will not include them. Accordingly, interested individuals may have to find and purchase them elsewhere.

The actual release date of the toy sets has not been announced yet. The same goes for whether the collectible items will arrive in the United States. Nevertheless, it is said that the set will carry a total price of $50, without shipping fees.

The arrival of the collectibles comes after the overwhelming success of Demon Slayer. A separate report from Comic Book stated that the franchise's latest film installment, Mugen Train has now become the top global film of 2020, adding that "it has done the impossible."

As explained, this is a first in the world of modern cinema wherein a "non-Hollywood" and non-American film has taken over the global box office. Since its premiere, it has amassed over $474.6 million, and $39.6 million of which are from U.S. theaters. The same outlet noted, later on, that this latest feat for the franchise has "solidified'' their place as a trailblazer.

As fans and supporters, alongside key individuals behind Demon Slayer, continue to celebrate the massive success of the franchise, especially the film, many people are now wondering when the next installments will drop.

It appears that avid viewers are still waiting for the anime series' second season. Although details and information remain scarce, reports said that all-new episodes of the show will premiere this summer. As for its arrival on Netflix, Devdiscourse reported that Demon Slayer Season 2 will hit the streaming platform's library in 2023.
