Prince Harry has one big regret for leaving and stepping down from his royal role, resulting in losing his ties to a special connection and this loss has been described as "wistful" and "a little bit sad."

According to royal commentators Russell Myers and Ann Gripper, Harry has been talking about his role in the Commonwealth "quite a bit" when he left his work in the royal family. He loved that he could visit many of these places overseas and learn from its people.

When Prince Harry had his wedding to Meghan Markle, his bride wore a special wedding veil bearing the embroidery of the Commonwealth. Leading the Commonwealth was supposed to be the path for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex but their roles were cut short when they decided to pursue a different life outside of their royal work. Queen Elizabeth didn't allow them to continue with their duties as the president and vice president of the Commonwealth organization.

In a podcast interview with Dax Shepard, Harry said that his work and experiences with the Commonwealth were unlike any education he could learn in the classroom. By going around the world, he saw first-hand the suffering of the less fortunate people in poorer countries.

Harry told Shepard that while he was born into privilege, he used to get front row seat of witnessing their struggles because of the Commonwealth. Suffice it to say, he has had the most unbelievable experience meeting different people from this job.

He said that he thought he understood life because a lot of the communities he visited had been for people of color. The Duke of Sussex, however, admitted that despite his exposure, he actually didn't know a lot about racism and unconscious bias.

Harry said that learned and understood this deeper when he married Markle. He acknowledged, however, that it's still a work in progress for him.

Meanwhile, amid Harry opening up about his feelings and struggles as a royal, Queen Elizabeth is said to be "deeply upset" that her grandson has been criticizing the royal family and the institution she heads. Reports cited that the monarch has taken Harry's comments about his genetic pain very personally.

Prince Harry alluded that his father, Prince Charles, has hurt him as a parent because he also went through a lot of hurt from his parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. According to the Duke of Sussex, he wants to break this cycle with his children, Archie and their soon-to-be-born daughter.
