BTS is once again breaking and making new music records after officially dropping their second English song, "Butter." As early as now, it may be safe to assume that the song is experiencing tremendous success.

BTS's "Butter" is now the biggest song debut in Spotify history and has made the highest 24-hour debut in YouTube records. However, it looks like fans learn that Spotify is, allegedly, filtering their streams and not counting them.

Fans have been streaming the group's new song on different platforms to increase its ranking on music charts. However, according to AllKpop, the ARMYs notice a large portion of their streams is not being counted.

From here, they start to post the global Spotify filter rates charts that they get from BHF Data Analytics. The graph shows the melody is more filtered compared to other artists.

About 47% of streams are not counted for "Butter," while 38% are not counted for "Dynamite." More fans share more data to show the anomaly in the streaming rate, so one of them emails Spotify to clear the issue.

The music streaming service explains it cannot reveal how it calculates the streams as others may manipulate it, angering the fans more. So, more and more ARMYs join forces to request an investigation against Spotify on social media, making #InvestigateSpotify trends worldwide as fans are demanding transparency.

Despite that, the new song has notched the biggest song debut in Spotify history, Forbes noted. On Friday, May 21, it got 11.042 million streams, breaking Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's record of 10.977 million for their song "I Don't Care" when it dropped on May 10, 2019.

Overall, it debuted No. 2 on the global Spotify chart, following Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" with 12.192 million streams. "Butter" is the ninth-biggest single-day streaming total, only behind "Good 4 U," "Driver's License," and a bunch of Christmas classic songs.

In addition, BTS also dominated the music video streaming, breaking another record for getting the highest 24-hour debut in YouTube history. "Butter" successfully earns 108.2 million views in its first 24 hours, securing the biggest first-day view count of all time, surpassing their own record of 101.1 million views for "Dynamite."

So, BTS now holds the biggest 24-hour debut on YouTube ever, followed by BLACKPINK's "How You Like That," with 86.3 million views on its first day.
