Power Book II: Ghost season 2 is going to introduce a new cast member once it arrives on Starz. The Power spin-off brings a new face, who's going to oppose drug operations and crimes within the city. This person could serve as a huge thorn on Tariq St. Patrick's (Michael Rainey Jr.) side, as well.

Chicago Med star Jeff Hephner is confirmed to recur as Detective Kevin Whitman in Power Book II: Ghost season 2. The character is described as a "by-the-book NYPD detective." The major reason why he shows up is that he is looking for a specific person.

Detective Kevin Whitman is on a mission to find the murderer of the G.T.G. member found in the pool of Stansfield University. Eventually, his investigation leads him on a journey filled with "murder, drug dealers and the one woman who has the ability to turn his white hat black."

He is determined to uncover the truth about the murder and he'll do a lot of digging to find answers. It's yet to be seen how his presence could shake up the world of Tariq in Power Book II: Ghost season 2. However, both are on the opposing side so there's going to be chaos coming between them.

Aside from Detective Kevin Whitman, the second installment also brings another new face in the picture. Previously, it was confirmed that Redman is set to play the role of Davis Maclean's (Method Man) older brother, Theo Rollins. But then, both of them were also on the opposite side of the law now.

Theo and Davis used to run the streets, but they now have different beliefs in the law. The former serves an extensive prison term, while the latter becomes the biggest defense attorney in New York City after handling the Tasha St. Patrick's (Naturi Naughton) case.

They could eventually clash, especially since they're on the opposite side of the law. Some of the events that happened to them in the past might be explored, including why they became estranged from one another. It's yet to be seen if they could be on the same page again in Power Book II: Ghost season 2.

Meanwhile, the series has been in production for quite some time now. Previously, Showrunner Courtney Kemp teased that they're already "halfway through filming." Yet, it is uncertain as to when the show is coming back on Starz.

Since Power Book II: Ghost season 2 is still in production, the official release date remains unknown at the moment.
