The members of BTS are "genuine fans" of McDonald's. This is one of the most significant reasons why they find their collaboration with the food company special.

In their recent interview, the K-Pop idols explained why their project, also known as the "BTS meal" is "meaningful" for them. Koreaboo released an article, covering what the "Butter" singers had to say.

RM began the conversation by revealing how "honored" they are to collaborate with McDonald's. He, also, said that "it truly means so much" to them to have their go-to meals named after them.

The BTS leader continued that they cannot still believe that a McDonald's meal has purple packaging designed for the project. As explained, purple is the color that represents them, alongside their love for their fans.

RM, later on, revealed that they have "so many memories and connections" with the food company, along with the meals. J-Hope, then, stated that they are very "thrilled" with the collaboration.

The publication claimed that the "feeling is mutual for McDonald's." This comes after they shared "how working with 'true fans' of the brand created an authentic and exciting" project.

In the same engagement, the members of BTS, also, shared their specific memories and notable experiences with McDonald's. After J-Hope emphasized how much he loves all the variations of meals and toys, Jin revealed that they frequented their visits to the store near their dorm before their debut.

Because it is a 24-hour chain, they would go there to eat and catch up with the rest of the members. Jungkook consequently commented that he misses those times.

As for Jimin, he associates his McDonald's memories with his high school years. He shared that he always made a stop at the store near his express bus terminal every day before going to his afternoon classes.

Meanwhile, Suga links his experiences with his family. He confessed that his parents would always bribe him with McDonald's fries to go with them to the mall.

The BTS collaboration with McDonald's released its official commercial videos earlier this week. It marks the arrival of the BTS meal in various stores across the globe.

The release date varies, however, per country. While some areas have already started to offer the limited edition meal set, other regions are still waiting for the official arrival.

Following the release of the commercial teasers, the details of the collaboration merch dropped on Thursday morning. Bandwagon Asia said that the items will be available from May 27 up to June 30.

The set includes special photocards, featuring the members of BTS. There, also, exclusive items, such as socks, shirts, tees, bags, bathrobes, and other accessories that come with the logo of the collaboration.
