Netflix released another set of teaser materials for Record of Ragnarok. Ahead of its official premiere, the platform has provided fans with additional details about the series.

Comic Book said that the new trailer reveals the official date of the show's arrival on the streaming service. Fans and followers now know that the pilot season will be available for streaming starting June 17.

Apart from dropping the teaser video on YouTube, the official website of the upcoming series posted the same material, as well. The latest update, also, comes with new information about the cast members.

Three new voice actors joined the production for Record of Ragnarok. These include My Hero Academia's Aya Kawakami, Attack on Titan's Yu Kobayashi, and newcomer Rina Kawaguchi.

They are lending their voices to the characters of Randrid, Hrist, and Reginleif. They are part of the 13 Valkyrie sisters who have transformative abilities.

The publication, later on, recalled the previously released details of the cast members. As noted, the three new additions joined Miyuki Sawashiro, Tomoyo Kurosawa, Tomokazu Seki, Hikari Midorikawa, Wataru Takagi, and Sōma Saitō. Kazuhiro Yamaji, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, and Takahiro Sakurai are, also, on the list who are playing the roles of some of the gods in the series.

HITC released a similar report, as well, detailing what fans and followers can expect from the pilot season of Record of Ragnarok. As noted, the series centers on an "ethereal battleground to decide the fate of humanity."

The plot begins with the council of Gods voting on the fate of humanity, an event that happens every 1000 years. After some time, though, the council decides that humanity must be "exterminated" because it is no longer redeemable.

But, to give mankind another chance, a "battle of champions" will take place to show their worth before the gods. In this match, 13 gods will face 13 of the best human warriors in the world. The latter should win seven of the fights to save humanity from termination.

The series is a direct adaptation to the highly acclaimed 2017 manga series of the same name. Later in December of 2020, it was announced that the material would be utilized as the main source of the anime.

Graphinica is working on the animation, while Warner Bros. Japan is in the production of Record of Ragnarok. It is, also, an original material for Netflix, making its release likely exclusive to the streaming platform. Accordingly, reports believe that the pilot season will unlikely hit other streaming services, including Crunchyroll and Funimation.
