New South Wales health officials Monday recorded another 35 new local Covid-19 transmissions, as premier Gladys Berejiklian warned the next coming days were "critical" in deciding if the lockdown will be extended or not.

Queensland has recorded four new locally acquired infections, all of which have been linked to previous cases, authorities said.

The South Australian government, for its part, has announced it will lift a series of restrictions it enforced last week to contain the spread of the Delta variant, The Guardian reported.

In New Zealand, the trans tasman bubble pause will be lifted for Western Australia and the Northern Territory starting July 9, but will remain in place for New South Wales and Queensland, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said Monday.

The pause for Queensland would be reevaluated Wednesday but would remain in effect for the "foreseeable future" for NSW, Ardern said.

In the Philippines, health authorities said they have administered more than 11.7 million doses as of Sunday.

"The total doses administered in the 18th week of our national immunization reached a record high of 1,778,989 doses," the Department of Health said. The vaccine rollout started March 1, ABS-CBN News said.

Over in Indonesia, the government has ordered oxygen makers to prioritize medical needs as an increase in infections has led to massive shortages in a number of cities, BBC reported Monday.

Indonesia is currently recording more than 25,000 new cases every day. The country has had the worst outbreak in southeast Asia, with around 2.3 million positive cases and more than 60,000 deaths so far, the report said.

"It's a warlike emergency," a woman seeking emergency treatment for her elderly mother told BBC.

In Singapore, the government reported one new local case of the virus as of noon Sunday -- the lowest figure for local transmissions since May 5, officials said.

Singapore has more than 2.1 million people who are fully vaccinated. Officials said they may further relax measures by the middle of this month, according to Channel News Asia.

In China, the country is expected to deliver 2 million doses of its Sinovac vaccine to Pakistan Monday and Tuesday.

Some 1.3 million doses of its Sinopharm vaccine were expected to be shipped to Pakistan Sunday, Geo News said.

Pakistan is also expecting more doses of the British vaccine AstraZeneca to arrive in the country.

In Hong Kong, the city's first two coronavirus patients found to be carrying a mutated strain of the disease in the community were handed prison sentences Monday for lying about their whereabouts and triggering a citywide paranoia over the spread of the highly contagious Beta variant, the South China Morning Post said.

Meanwhile, in Vietnam, health authorities confirmed 328 local infections in 11 municipalities Monday morning, and more than half of them are in the capital Ho Chi Minh City.

Worldwide, there are currently 184 million cases of the virus, with 3.98 million deaths.
