Fans are now waiting for "One Piece" Chapter 1023, but Eiichiro Oda has a special "One Piece" spinoff coming. The mangaka has been collaborating with different Shueshia creators that give his iconic series a new spin, and this one is another must-see.
The spinoff will feature a special cover from the "Nisekoi: False Love" creator, Naoshi Komi. So, aside from "One Piece" Chapter 1023's release, the franchise now celebrates its 20th anniversary and more than two decades of serialization. Its first manga serialization started in 1997.
The manga has been featuring new makeovers and crossovers every now and then, including fresh takes on the classic chapters. By the looks of it, the upcoming special will be different.
According to Comicbook, Komi will be handling the spinoff's cover featuring a part of the series "Vivi's Adventure." This means fans are about to see the franchise through the artist's eyes and art.
The series' Twitter handle announced the illustration and teased what fans could expect to celebrate this special event. It revealed it would be 48 pages long and teased a new version of "that" mysterious famous scene after a big fight's end would be featured.
Meanwhile, fans are also looking forward to seeing "One Piece" Chapter 1023. The News Pocket noted it might feature the dream fight of Zoro and Sanji versus King and Queen.
Zoro has now recovered, thanks to the miracle drug. Now, he can give Sanji a hand in his fight.
Elsewhere, Onigashima may finally land in the Flower Capital. It only has 15 minutes to descend, so it has to take advantage of it.
From here, Luffy will finally face Kaido in Flower Capital instead of Onigashima. However, though Kaido's defeat may eventually happen, the city may go into a frenzy, considering the intense fight that is going to happen.
In addition, Kid and Law will be taking on Big Mom in the new chapter. However, seeing the two male fighters have already sustained injuries, it remains to be seen if they can bring an unscathed Big Mom.
Fortunately, there will be no delay next week, and fans will see "One Piece" Chapter 1023 as scheduled. So, it is expected to be out on Sunday, Aug. 29. Alternatively, Oda's especially drawn large picture scroll poster will be out in three consecutive issues of Weekly Shonen Jump, and it will drop on Monday, Aug. 30.
