All eyes are now on "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" Season 3 after the end of Rimuru's fight against Demon Lord Clayman. As the second season finale seems to confirm the anime's continuation, the franchise also has another treat for fans.

Rimuru has now returned to the great forest of Jura as its new ruler. Now that he is the Demon Lord, he takes the responsibility of looking after the jungle and fans are about to see more of it in "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" Season 3.

The second season finale ends with the words "to be continued," seemingly confirmed the coming of a new season. So, what will happen from here?

According to Recent Highlights, Eight Bit studio is now working on the third season and an announcement may happen soon. It will adapt Fuse and Mitz Vah's light novel series of the same name from Volume 8 forward.

As the first two seasons covered up to Chapter 87 of the manga, the new season would probably use the source materials after that. Though the war between Rimuru and Demon Lord Clayman is now over, the former's story has just begun.

A banquet in the city of Rimuru is about to begin in "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" Season 3. However, the main event will be the negotiations with the Kingdom of Falmuth.

Diablo and Youm are now in this place, along with King Edmaris. A war against the Western Holy Church will also ensue here.

Now that Rimuru has become the Demon Lord, the battles will just be harder for him and his people. There is no way the Western Holy Church will stay silent, so it will be sending its strongest forces to fight the new ruler in the great forest of Jura.

So, in the new season, fans will often see Hinata Sakaguchia as a constant character. There will also be a fight between Hinata and Rimuru.

Meanwhile, aside from "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" Season 3, the franchise will also drop the story's movie adaptation, Looper noted. However, it remains to be seen if it will pick up after the end of the second season or will come out after the third season.

Anyhow, the film can also feature a story that no one has seen yet. The news comes from the anime's official Twitter handle, along with a 15-second clip announcing the coming of the new movie.

The film is set to be out in the fall of 2022, though there is no official preview for it yet. By the looks of it, fans have to wait and hear more announcements for "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" Season 3 and the upcoming film.
